New cutting garden - Spring projects!

We are working hard here at Puriri Lane after taking out the huge Leyland Cypress hedge that surrounded our nursery and we are busily creating a cutting garden in readiness for spring. In addition to our new cutting garden, we will soon be announcing dates for our "From Garden to Vase" workshops where we can step you through the practicalities of creating your own cutting garden at home everything from design right through to what to grow.   The perfect opportunity to learn how to grow your very own cutting patch.  There will be some wonderful workshops with a host of guest presenters, but more on that later!

Work has started on the new cutting gardens Puriri Lane | The Cutting Garden

Our plastic house is brimming with lots of exciting new varieties which we will be using in our cutting patch as well as launching for sale over the coming months - all perfect for picking.

Puriri Lane | Yesterday's Flowers For Todays Gardens

The plastic house is overflowing with lots of new plants coming along for Spring

Whilst some of these new varieties will be used in our new workshop program others will be sent to the Flower Collective Market to be used by florists for creating their magical event and wedding flowers... more on these exciting new developments in our journal over the coming weeks

Lots of thought and planning is going into what we will be growing so that visitors to our gardens later in the year will see the beauty of our cutting gardens. We have selected some beautiful roses for our arbours along with some stunning varieties of both perennials and annuals for cutting. In addition to this we will be growing for cutting a large range of  Sweetpeas in some stunning colours with a range of seeds available for these later in the year so be sure to sign up to our newsletter via the website and follow us on Instagram @puriri_lane and FaceBook PuririLane to stay up to date with our new seed range.
