KIM FLOTTUM brings a background of twelve years of plant science, honey bee research, and basic farming to his thirty years as the editor of Bee Culture magazine where his main occupation is finding the answers to the multitude of questions that beginning, intermediate, and even advanced and experienced beekeepers bring to the table. He teaches beginning and advanced beekeeping courses, travels extensively to educate and lecture, and contributes to a variety of other publications on the basics of honey bees and beekeeping biology, the business of bees and pollination, producing and using varietal honey, and a host of other subjects. He is beekeeping's le­ading advocate for fundamental honey bee safety including insuring excellent honey bee health, providing extraordinary forage, and minimizing the use of agricultural pesticides.

Depending on the number of plants you are ordering the cost of freight will vary as indicated by the shipping rates below.
  • Auckland City | $12 minimum
  • Middle North Island | $15 minimum
  • Rest of North Island | $16 minimum
  • South Island | $25 minimum
Please note... Shipping to South Island is applied as Economy by default. If you wish to upgrade your order to overnight courier, please add this to the note section of your order or get in touch with us and we will contact you with the price difference and await your confirmation.
If your order exceeds shipping rates (Shipping rates are calculated to 24kg maximum = approx. 24 x 1 Litre sized plants), please contact us for assistance at hello@puririlaneaddenbrooke.co.nz to organize shipping arrangements.
    For smaller items such as moon calendars, books, cards, stationery and other items can be sent for a lesser rate which will be automatically applied, which you will see at checkout.

    Upon checking out, the freight charged is applied based on weight and your location, including rural destinations.

    • All of our orders are dispatched using NZ Post which is a fully tracked service   
    • Our freight is calculated by weight and volume.  For plant orders, you may wish to order the maximum number of plants that will fit in a box to make freight more cost-effective or perhaps share an order with a friend
    • Plant orders will only be dispatched on Monday's and Tuesday's this will ensure that your order is not held in a depot over the weekend
    • All parcels are set at "Authority to leave" which means if you're not home at the time of delivery the courier will leave your parcel in a safe place on your property
    • Most NZ Post deliveries are a two-day service with the exception of rural and South Island delivery which may add up to two days.
