ARS | VS-8XZ
Made in Japan, the ARS ‘VS’ series is considered the Top-of-the-range in professional secateurs.
These secateurs have ergonomic solid die cast alloy handles and polymer coated handle grips which provide both comfort and control over an alloy body and are designed as the ideal option for all keen gardeners, professional gardeners as well as being suited to Landscapers, Arborists and Horticulturalists.
ARS secateurs are renowned for their sharp blades and are hard chrome plated for optimum protection against rust and sap build up with the counter blade having a sap groove. The cutting blades are also interchangeable.
The ARS unique ‘SQUEEZE-UNLOCK’ spring-loaded thumb latch is a fantastic feature of these secateurs which allows the user to unlock and open the secateurs by simply squeezing the handles - no thumb or finger movement is required to unlock! There is also a Neoprene buffer endorsed inside the spring.
This model is designed for medium sized hands - they do come in an small and large size, but medium is suitable for most people.
The Small is recommended for extremely small sized hands, and the Large for very large sized hands, but do get in touch below under "Have A Question" and we are happy to pre order these for you.
You are also able to obtain replaceable blades and other spare parts available and should you require them, simply get in touch.

Upon checking out, the freight charged is applied based on weight and your location, including rural destinations.
- All of our orders are dispatched using NZ Post which is a fully tracked service
- Our freight is calculated by weight and volume. For plant orders, you may wish to order the maximum number of plants that will fit in a box to make freight more cost-effective or perhaps share an order with a friend
- Plant orders will only be dispatched on Monday's and Tuesday's this will ensure that your order is not held in a depot over the weekend
- All parcels are set at "Authority to leave" which means if you're not home at the time of delivery the courier will leave your parcel in a safe place on your property
- Most NZ Post deliveries are a two-day service with the exception of rural and South Island delivery which may add up to two days.
