Ammi majus also known as Queen Anne's lace is an old time cottage garden favourite. This variety "Snowflake" has been bred with flower farmers in mind as it has strong straight stems with very uniform growth producing more quality stems, so it is also a great one to grow at home for cut flowers.
The uniform growth prevents side shoots overgrowing the main umbel, resulting in a more manageable height. The large, flat flower umbels with clear white flowers are highly versatile for mixed bouquets. It is the best white foliage filler you can grow and also looks stunning arranged in a big cloud on its own. It has a vase life of approximately 7-10 days, just be sure to strip the leaves as they tend to age and yellow quite quickly. Also wonderful as a dried flower.
Queen Annes Lace is one of our best sellers and adds a pretty light airiness to the garden. When planting, be sure to just cut the bag and pop the plant into the prepared hole and firm the soil down around the plant as they do not like to have their roots disturbed.
