perfect for pollinators

Another stunning Antirrhinum! This Chantilly variety is another beautiful one with its long, strong stems, large, ruffled open flowers that resemble petticoats that are a shades of peach, through lemon and watermelon pink  - quite delicious and a absolute must for the cut flower garden!  This variety is one of the first to flower.

Antirrhinums are such reliable garden plants that have attractive rich green foliage and flower throughout the summer. An excellent plant for providing vertical interest in the garden, they are also a mainstay of the cutting garden with their densely packed ruffled spikes of flowers that bloom in succession. If flowers are harvested your plants will flower from early summer right through into mid autumn - they are an all round star performer in the garden.

Though technically classified as a short lived perennial, they are often cultivated as an annual, sown early in spring to flower in summer, or as a biennial, sown in late summer to overwinter and flower the following season.
To maximise the production of flowers, plant them in full sun, and space about 30 to 45cm apart.

When harvesting for cut flowers, just the bottom 3-5 flowers should be open - you need to get to them before the pollinators do to ensure you get them lasting well. As a cut flower, snaps as they are also known will last in a vase for such a long time.  You can expect around 7-10 days in a vase.

Height to around 90cm x approximately 20cm Wide
