Centaurea phrygia
A wildflower in many parts of the world Centaurea phrygia has bright pink flowers on upright stems that look like a cornflower type flower. It is also known as Wig Knapweed for the fact that its little buds look like they are covered with a hairnet. An excellent choice in dry borders or rock gardens in a full sun position and also looks wonderful if you want to achieve a naturalistic or wildflower garden look.
