Cranesbill Geranium | Sue Crug
This lovely Cranesbill Geranium has mauve coloured flowers with darker veining on the petals and dark purple anthers. Sue Crug is a hardy geranium that will flower all summer. If it starts to look a little tired, you can simply shear the leaves right back and within days new leaves will start to reappear.
Easy care and a lover of both full sun and shade it has the added bonus of being drought tolerant once established. We find that a layer of mulch does help with moisture retention through the hotter summer months. Deadheading will also encourage more flower. Easily divided in spring or autumn to give you more plants, this is a striking Cranesbill and one not often seen. Semi-evergreen depending on where you are located. Looks fabulous scrambling in amongst other plants in your border. Bees will enjoy stopping by for a refreshing drink of nectar!
