Digitalis lanata | Cafe Creme
One of the more unusual foxgloves that we have, and maybe not instantly recognisable as such. The flowers are carried in a typical foxglove spike, but instead of the usual hanging bells, each pretty flower is very rounded, white with dense brown netting, a broad white lip and a glowing yellow inside, could best be described as a mocha colour. A reasonably perennial species that likes light shade and well-drained soil. Foxgloves will add an air of elegance to your garden as well as providing some vertical interest.
Foxgloves are absolute winners as cut flowers providing tall graceful structure to your arrangements. Cut the stems when the flowers on the stem are one-third to one-half open. We also have many other Foxgloves available including the lovely Pink Gin which we have not seen available for sale here. The lovely creamy tonings look wonderful planted with our Bronze Fennel.
