Delphinium x belladonna | Blue Sensation
This attractive sky blue perennial Delphinium, Blue Sensation is a vigorous Delphinium that can rebloom up to five times after each successive flush so you need to make sure that you are diligent with your deadheading.
Ideal in cottage gardens where it adds a dimension of both height and colour. With a height of just under one metre, the strong, well branched stems of Delphinium Blue Sensation are loaded with blooms from early summer, although plants can on occasion flower earlier than that.
Plants perform to their best in a sunny location in a moist, humus rich, well drained soil, and appreciate some fertilise to help them to continue to produce their striking flower spikes. We advise working well rotted manure or compost to the soil prior to planting.
Delphiniums make great cut flowers and can last up to 7 days in a vase. Pick the flower stems when most flowers are open. We also have Pink Sensation which you can find here.

- Our freight is calculated by weight and volume. For plant orders, you may wish to order the maximum number of plants that will fit in a box to make freight more cost-effective or perhaps share an order with a friend
- Plant orders will only be dispatched on Monday's and Tuesday's this will ensure that your order is not held in a depot over the weekend
- All parcels are set at "Authority to leave" which means if you're not home at the time of delivery the courier will leave your parcel in a safe place on your property
- Most NZ Post deliveries are a two-day service with the exception of rural and South Island delivery which may add up to two days.
