Helichrysum bracteatum | Dragon Fire
These flowers are easy to grow and look great in the garden but do double duty as make an excellent cut flower for use in arrangements adding a unique texture. They are also fantastic flowers for using as wedding buttonholes.
Pick the your straw flowers as soon as the flowers start to open, pop them straight into a bucket of water and rest the stems in water for a few hours if you are using them fresh to condition them, you should get about 7 days out of them in a vase.
