Hermerocallis | Cinderellas Dark Side
An old variety, but certainly a goody, "Cinderellas Dark Side" is a stunning maroon coloured Daylily with a black purple halo and a contrasting lime-green throat. The name Daylily coming from the fact that each flower typically lasts no longer than twenty-four hours - opening in the morning and withering during the night, and then the next one on the scape or stalk opens the next day. This Daylily is deciduous so does die down in the winter to return in the spring. It is clump forming and can be easily split at anytime once it is established. A perfect choice for the border as well as being great in pots. It also tolerates heat and summer humidity, but it does like to be well watered.
Remove any spent flowers to encourage the plants appearance and reflowering. When each scape has finished flowering, cut the stem to the ground. Attractive to butterflies.
Height 90cm with flower stems x 60cm Wide | Deciduous
Plant size: PB2 - Equivalent 1.2 litres
Please note it is difficult to capture the actual colour of this daylily so this photo captures it to the best of our ability
