Iris sibirica alos makes an excellent cut flower. To achieve the best results, plant Iris sibirica in a moist soil, or next to water such as at the edge of a pond, in a full sun or a dappled shade position. Happy in clay soils but add some gravel to assist with drainage. Cut back after flowering to tidy up.
Plants die back in autumn and this is when you can split your clumps when the plants are dormant.
