THE DAHLIA - She's got something special. She's an eccentric diva, but also a mathematical miracle. The dahlia is a flower that catches the eye. She has thousands of faces, as many shapes, in countless colours and eccentric shapes. And she gives everything she has for months! The dahlia is back again and with the rise of the small-scale farmer florists, who grow flowers all over the world using traditional methods and who share their beauty on social media, the flower has gained the cachet it deserves.

Quietly, thousands of new species have been added in recent years. Small pompoms, colossal dinner plates, fuzzy cacti and subdued stars. This book shows them in their full glory, highlighting all facets - from history to sustainable cultivation, from breeding to passion, illustrated with colourful, loving and sensational photos!

Linda van der Slot and Marlies Weijers are the owners of the FAM Flower Farm, an internationally known Dutch plant nursery where dahlia bulbs grow.  Katja Staring is a journalist, publicist and nature-lover, and on her Instagram page @dailygreenspiration, Katja posts about sustainable gardening.

The ideal gift for the Dahlia flower that has seen a huge rise in popularity, illustrated with beautiful colour photographs. The ultimate book for every flower lover.  By making this book, Katja wants to share her passion and show how versatile and special dahlias really are.  Marlies Weijers and Linda van der Slot are the owners of the FAM Flower Farm, an internationally known Dutch plant nursery where dahlia tubers are grown. Mariles says everyone is capable of getting dahlias to flower, and what they love the most is spreading the love for flowers with hashtag #spreadtheloveforflowers
