perfect for pollinators

We love this Nigella for it's unusual flowers - also known as yellow Fennel flower, Love in a Mist or Devil in a bush!  Plants flower from spring right through summer, and being an annual, the more you cut them, the more the flowers will come again. A great conversation plant with it's almost alien like flowers.

An annual that produces tall yellow flowers that has vase shaped fluted seed pods that sit amongst ferny green foliage.  A fantastic plant for the border and looks striking en masse and equally great as a cut flower.  The seed pods also dry well for use in floral arrangements.

When using for cutting, harvest the flowers when they are fully open. Vase life is about 1 week. The pods can be used fresh or dried in floral work - when dried they will last almost indefinitely. To dry, simply hang upside down in a warm, dry place out of bright light for around two weeks.

These plants are easy to grow, but as the plants resent disturbance, please prepare your planting position and then just cut the side of the bag on three sides to release the plant and gently pop it into position and firm into place.  We send these plants when they are quite "soft" in their bags so that they do not become root bound in their bags.
