Pratia angulata | Panakenake
Pratia angulata or Panakenake is native white flowering groundcover which thrives in damp shady sites, although will grow in sunny situations. Spreads quickly so for anyone wanting to cover a large area then this makes an excellent groundcover. It is also very easily split at any time of the year to give you more plants. It will die back in winter in colder areas and often will die back in spots in summer if it lacks water. The plant has small rounded leaves and flowers for a long period from spring. The small flowers are white with dainty flaring petals and are followed by reddish purple berries. A vigorous groundcover for a damp area in sun or semi-shade.
