This is a very pretty old-fashioned double English Primrose that has beautiful white double flowers that are neatly surrounded by a ruff like collar of smaller green leaves. Not often seen, this is what is known as a "Jack In The Green" form which means the flowers are surrounded by an attractive ruff of green leaves which means the calix has turned into leaves.

The little white flowers resemble little which rose bud with a touch of chartreuse green in the centre. Being a double, it is not inclined to set seed, so in return it will flower over a very long season.  The perfect little plant to edge a border, and quite at home under the shade of bigger shrubs! Flowers from mid Winter well into spring. Happy in a full sun to partially shaded position in well drained soil.

Plants can be split once established and this can be done in autumn.  Cut back after flowering to re-invigorate the plant.

We also have another double Primula Sue Jervis which is very pretty pale pink which you can find here and also other Primulas which can be found here.

Semi evergreen in colder climates.

Height to 15cm x clumping

Plant size PB2 | Equivalent 1.2 litres
