perfect for pollinators

Cécile Brünner is a beautiful climbing rose has been an award winning favourite since 1894.  This rose is almost thornless and has fully double pale pink flowers with around thirty petals that are approximately 4cm across and that open from pointed buds making it a florists dream for buttonholes and wearable floral jewellery.  Have a look at the lovely book by Susan McLeary  on wearable floral jewellery - The Art of Wearable Flowers   Cecile Brunner is great for cutting too.

Cécile Brünner is extremely free flowering and enjoys a long flush of blooms in late spring through early supper.  Attractive foliage with dark green leaves that are often tinged red along with red stems.  The perfect choice for a vintage look over arches fences or trellises.  Happy in sun or partial shade this reliable Polyantha rose is also very disease resistant. To maximise flowering apply a balanced fertilise in late winter or early spring and again in early summer.
