Rudbeckia hirta Cherokee Sunset ( Black Eyed Susan) has impressive double or semi-double flowers in a stunning mix of yellow, orange and mahogany. Flowering from early summer right through until the first frost providing weeks of eye-catching colour. These plants are so floriferous that the whole plant is almost obscured by flowers.
Rudbeckia hirta make a fantastic cut flower as well as being great for drying as well or you can leave them in place for winter interest. Very easy to grow this rudbeckia is a great candidate for the mixed border and looks striking planted on mass. The more you cut the flowers the more you will encourage the flowering season. These plants have a propensity to self sow and that we think is a great thing! Flowers are loved by bees butterflies and birds. A short lived perennial meaning you will get around three to five years from this plant.
