Also known as the Peruvian Lily, this beautiful white variety is a great addition to any garden.
It looks wonderful used as edging around borders or mass planted like you would bluebells. It is also the perfect choice for a container or on a rockery. Clumps up reasonably quickly and is easily split to give you more plants. The leaves are a bright green which offsets the blue flowers beautifully. The leaves are lance-shaped and are held flat to the ground while the flowers are held above the foliage.
Feed annually in spring with a balanced fertiliser such as blood and bone at a handful per square metre in spring as new growth begins. Spent flowers should be removed can be left on the plant to produce seed. If the plants like their location then they will self sow. Alternatively, when the bulbs get larger they can be dug up and re-planted easily after flowering. Leaves often die down partially after flowering but tend to produce new ones soon after. In cooler areas, leaves may die down altogether.
Also available in blue which you can find here.
