Good old Lamb's Ears are popular edging plants, valued for their low spreading mat of soft, felty leaves, Limelight is a fabulous coloured variety This unique selection features bright chartreuse-yellowy lime foliage in the spring, which later fades to green. Flowers are pink and come in early to mid-summer, but many people remove them to keep them neat and tidy. Certainly, this is an attractive plant, that deserves careful placement. Consider using as an edging beneath pink or scarlet roses. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring or fall. Drought tolerant, once established.
Stachys limelight is happy in full sun to partial shade and grows in most soils so is not overly fussy. The leaves are a favourite for use in floral work.
