Tanacetum parthenium | Selma Star
This little perennial chrysanthemum plant deserves a spot in the garden. It has had a bit of an identity crisis so you might also know it or see it listed as Chrysanthemum parthenium and Matricaria parthenium but whatever it is known as it is definitely going to give you a point of difference in your garden. Selma Star is a double flower with narrow rays of florets around the neat centre dome. A favourite for picking and drying you can cut it back after its first flush and you will be rewarded with more flowers. It is an excellent filler for bunches of flowers and lasts well in a vase. Flowers from late spring right through until early autumn - a great little performer!
Plants will self-sow so if you do not want this to happen to be sure to cut it back after flowering.
