Watsonia borbonica | Snow White

Regular price $12.00

Watsonia borbonica is a species that grows from corms. It is dormant in summer and grows in winter, which is the rainy season in its native habitat. It has tall strap-like leaves that grow in a fan arrangement. This variety grows up to about 1.5m in height and flowers from spring and into summer.  The flowers on this particular variety are pure white - we also have a smaller variety in more of a cream colour that is both smaller in stature and flower colour.

Watsonia borbonica is a good garden plant as it bears showy flowers. It needs well-drained soil and full sun. During the dormant phase it should be kept dry so requires good drainage. A great cut flower that is loved by bees.

PLEASE NOTE: As these plants are tall, we may need to cut the foliage for packing purposes but new growth will emerge.

Perennial | Summer deciduous

Height 1.5m x 40cm Wide - Clumping

Plant size: PB2 - Equivalent 1.2 litres
