About the author

Rachael Piercey is a freelance poet, editor, and tutor. She has co-edited three children’s poetry anthologies with the Emma Press and regularly performs her work and runs poetry workshops in elementary schools. Piercey’s poems for adults have been published in various journals including the Poetry ReviewMagma, and the Rialto, as well as two pamphlets with the Emma Press and one with HappenStance. She lives in London.

Freya Hartas is an illustrator specializing in children’s books, and creator of the best-selling Slow Down. She graduated from Falmouth University with honors in BA illustration and loves to conjure up humorous characters, animals, and monsters, creating the most fantastical worlds for them to inhabit and get lost in. Freya lives in the vibrant city of Bristol with her partner and their ancient black cat, Katsu, and works from her cozy, cluttered desk in a shared studio down the road. Freya is the illustrator for all  of our beautiful Slow Down books

Depending on the number of plants you are ordering the cost of freight will vary as indicated by the shipping rates below.
  • Auckland City | $12 minimum
  • Middle North Island | $15 minimum
  • Rest of North Island | $16 minimum
  • South Island | $25 minimum
Please note... Shipping to South Island is applied as Economy by default. If you wish to upgrade your order to overnight courier, please add this to the note section of your order or get in touch with us and we will contact you with the price difference and await your confirmation.
If your order exceeds shipping rates (Shipping rates are calculated to 24kg maximum = approx. 24 x 1 Litre sized plants), please contact us for assistance at hello@puririlaneaddenbrooke.co.nz to organize shipping arrangements.
    For smaller items such as moon calendars, books, cards, stationery and other items can be sent for a lesser rate which will be automatically applied, which you will see at checkout.

    Upon checking out, the freight charged is applied based on weight and your location, including rural destinations.

    • All of our orders are dispatched using NZ Post which is a fully tracked service   
    • Our freight is calculated by weight and volume.  For plant orders, you may wish to order the maximum number of plants that will fit in a box to make freight more cost-effective or perhaps share an order with a friend
    • Plant orders will only be dispatched on Monday's and Tuesday's this will ensure that your order is not held in a depot over the weekend
    • All parcels are set at "Authority to leave" which means if you're not home at the time of delivery the courier will leave your parcel in a safe place on your property
    • Most NZ Post deliveries are a two-day service with the exception of rural and South Island delivery which may add up to two days.
