Anemones are such a beautiful sight in the late summer or autumn garden.  This variety features loads of double deep rose and sometimes paler shades of pink cupped flowers that are about 5cm in diameter.  The petals are delicately overlapping with swirls of bright yellow stamens. The flowers are on show for weeks and seem to float above the divided almost vine like foliage on dark reddish wiry stems.  The foliage is a darker green and a lovely contrast for the rosey pink flowers.

This is a fantastic choice for cut bouquets as the flowers have such a great lasting quality and last well in a vase.  It could not be easier to add a touch of beauty to your garden with this lovely plant.

Anemones are in fact one of the longest blooming perennials in the garden so are in full flight when other perennials start to fade. Beautiful mixed with grasses and for that naturalistic wildflower garden look.

This variety is shorter than many other anemone cultivars, so it is a good choice for a smaller gardens and can be placed towards the middle of a border, and flowers. Plants that have been grown from these seeds may give a variety of forms and colours from pale pink to dark pink so it will be a lucky dip but very pretty whatever you get!

Happy in full or part sun, this plant enjoys a rich but evenly moist position in the garden.  This plant will happily naturalise to form colonies so be sure that you are happy for this to happen.

Plants are also salt tolerant so great in coastal gardens. Once established these plants need minimal maintenance.  We cut ours back after autumn flowering to tidy up any tatty leaves but seed heads also look lovely through the cooler months.
