Solidago ptarmacoides
The little Aster that is actually a Solidago or Goldenrod! Also known as the Upland White Aster. Although this little plant has been classified for many years as an Aster, taxonomists have determined that this species is actually a Goldenrod based on its flower structure. That aside it is a dear little plant with flowers that are fantastic for cutting and definitely should be something you should consider for your cut flower patch if you are a florist or a flower farmer - the flowers can last in a vase for 7-10 days and are also great dried.
In summer and into late autumn, the plants have a profusion of delicate aster like pretty white flowers that are held on airy sprays above the plant. Loved by butterflies this little plant is super easy to grow and very well behaved. It is not overly fussy on soil and will cope with damp soils, but it does appreciate good drainage. Drought tolerant once establish Solidago ptarmacoides is also happy in full sun or partial shade. Easily divided to give you more plants in spring.

- Our freight is calculated by weight and volume. For plant orders, you may wish to order the maximum number of plants that will fit in a box to make freight more cost-effective or perhaps share an order with a friend
- Plant orders will only be dispatched on Monday's and Tuesday's this will ensure that your order is not held in a depot over the weekend
- All parcels are set at "Authority to leave" which means if you're not home at the time of delivery the courier will leave your parcel in a safe place on your property
- Most NZ Post deliveries are a two-day service with the exception of rural and South Island delivery which may add up to two days.
